George Wyle wrote over 400 songs, but his most well known is one he wrote with Sherwood Schwartz, a song still played countless times every day - "The Ballad of Gilligan's Island". Wyle once said "America doesn't want great music themes, just something it can remember." Wyle passed away May 2, 2003.
