Allan's Fate Part 1 - The Dilemma
Every once in a while we are called upon to help our fellow man. This is
one of those times. I received the following email this morning...
Trivia? Who has time for trivia?
Okay, It's Monday and I am drunk. I do not want to belittle the Manbottle
society, but I have bigger fish to fry. I leave tomorrow for five days in
Vegas. When I come back from Vegas I have to decide between Jamie or
Sarah. Trust me when I say that I didn't want to put myself in this situation
but it just happened. (ask Jerome, he'll tell ya) Both Jamie and Sarah are
of good character and quality. I have feelings for them both and I would not
want to see either of them get hurt, but I know that if I see one of them
then I will be hurting the other one. So, after debating about it for
hours, I have decided to let the Manbottle Society decide for me. Put it to
a vote! No other information but just a name. Shall I continue to date
Sarah or Jamie. I'll let the Manbottle decide. Trust me when I say that I
will let the loser down easily. But, I can not take the emotional struggle
anymore.(I am not used to this sh*t anyways) So, Manbottle, lend me your
ears and I will hear you when I get back from Vegas. Of course, taking
this week off from the trivia has delayed my overtaking of Andie J. but, I
will make that sacrifice to hear the results of the Manbottle society.

Okay, I know what you are thinking, but I immediately replied to Allan's
email to tell him I would give him several hours to sober up and reconsider
his request.
However, you should know that I've known Allan for a very long time, and
this is just the sort of thing he would come up with sober (perhaps not as
quickly), so it's not just the alcohol talking. Also, the thought occurred
to me that this couldn't possibly turn out any worse than any of the
previous non-random methods he has used to select a girlfriend. It actually
makes sense, in a weird sort of way - Allan has always been far luckier at
gambling than at love, so it is really no surprise that he is willing to
roll the dice on this - it may be his best chance at happiness yet.
So there you have it. Nothing more to go on than their names. Jamie or
Sarah? Sarah or Jamie? Who should Allan continue to date? Reply to
