Flour and water makes a nice simple paste.
Anything with milk or cream mixed with anything acidic (lemon juice, vinegar) makes a very sticky adhesive.
(That's just the beginning, Google "homemade glue" for more ideas.)
Here's a fun drink recipe...
The "Cement Mixer"
1 shot Bailey's Irish Cream
1 shot lemon juice
(hint: don't mix this in a good glass -- trust me on this)

First you have to shoot your horse (He may object to having a hoof taken off while he's still alive).....

Glue
Materials
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon white vinegar
Small saucepan
Small bowl
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup cold water
Directions
Mix water, corn syrup, and vinegar in saucepan.
Bring to a full, rolling boil.
In bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water.
Add this mixture slowly to the hot mixture, stirring constantly until the mixture returns to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
When cooled, pour into another container and let stand overnight before using.
